Job summary

Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust is seeking a Portfolio Manager Team Lead to support Commercial Banking Executives in originating loans and managing the credit portfolio. The role involves structuring transactions, reviewing financial statements, due diligence, credit risk assessment, deal screen presentations, and monitoring ongoing lending performance for a diversified client base.

You will lead due diligence discussions, develop indicative term sheets, and collaborate across the lending platform

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
Three or more years of underwriting and account management experience in a commercial lending environment.

Responsibilities

Determine borrowing needs and develop loan structures with Commercial Banking Executives.
Request, review and spread borrower financial information.
Perform thorough credit analysis and prepare deal screen presentations.
Monitor ongoing compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
Lead due diligence discussions and present to credit committees.
Support renewals, extensions and annual credit reviews.
