Job summary

Burr & Forman seeks a Commercial Lending Associate with a JD and active bar license to join our team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial real estate lending experience and a proven ability to represent lenders in secured transactions, within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The selected candidate will benefit from hands-on mentoring, immediate client contact, and long-term advancement opportunities. A flexible hybrid or fully remote schedule is available.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission in any state where Burr & Forman maintains an office.
• 3+ years of commercial lending experience (real estate).
• Experience representing regional and national lenders in secured transactions.

Job description

Burr & Forman has an immediate opening for a Commercial Lending Associate. This position can be based in any of the Firm’s offices, though preference will be given to those in Charlotte, where the primary supervising partner is located. This position requires a J.D. degree and membership in the applicable state Bar. Candidates should have three or more years of commercial lending experience (real estate), with substantial involvement representing regional and national lenders in secured transactions and managing complex engagements in a team environment. Quality candidates will be self-starters with great client service skills and strong academic credentials, as well as strong research, writing, organizational and analytical skills and must be licensed to practice law in any state where Burr & Forman maintains an office.
