Job summary

The Symicor Group seeks a Commercial Lender for a bank client in Austin, TX to originate and service CRE, C&I, and SBA loans. This on-site role supports senior officers with complex loans and customer service.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in commercial lending, plus strong financial statement analysis and regulatory knowledge. Benefits are included; this is not a remote position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Six or more years of progressively greater responsibility and experience in the commercial lending area is a must.
• Experience analyzing financial statements.
• Completion of a formalized credit training program is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking activities.
• Strong analytical ability with effective written and verbal communication skills required.
• Efficient use of Outlook, Word, and Excel applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through loans, business accounts, and services.
• Originate or recommend commercial, industrial, and commercial real estate loans within the limits of lending authority and in compliance with regulations and policy.
• Analyze and review financial statements, accounts, and related data for new and potential existing customers.
• Negotiate and recommend credit terms, costs, loan repayment strategies, and collateral specifications.
• Provide services and maintain accounts for existing customers, ensuring terms of loans and financial conditions of borrowers adhere to policy parameters.
• Evaluate prospective customers and loan requests and make recommendations to management.
• Expand existing business and develop new business through service and cross-selling, customer calls, networking, and the development of referrals.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations, compliance issues, and bank policies.

The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Lender role to be based in the Austin, TX market. The successful candidate will make and service a variety of CRE, C&I, and SBA loans. The candidate will also assist senior officers in handling larger and more complicated loans and provide other customer services as may be required.

This position offers a generous base salary of up to $140K and a full benefits program. (This is not a remote position.)

Commercial Lender responsibilities include:
