The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a growing Houston-based community bank to identify an experienced Commercial Lender to help expand its commercial banking platform. This role emphasizes relationship-building with middle-market clients and entrepreneurial impact.

The ideal candidate will originate loans, grow deposits and treasury management relationships, and build long-term relationships with business owners while partnering with credit teams to deliver comprehensive banking

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience.
• Proven ability to originate loans and develop deposits/treasury relationships.
• Experience with C&I lending, owner-occupied CRE, CRE and SBA lending.
• Strong business development skills focused on relationship banking.
• Existing Houston business relationships preferred.
• Ability to independently source, structure, and close new lending opportunities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to help build a growing community bank franchise.

The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a growing Houston-based community bank to identify an experienced Commercial Lender to help expand its commercial banking platform.

This opportunity is ideal for a relationship-driven lender who enjoys developing new business, building long-term client relationships, and working in an entrepreneurial environment where individual contributions have a direct impact on the bank's growth and success.

Unlike institutions that focus primarily on commercial real estate, this organization is seeking well-rounded commercial lenders with more of a generalist emphasis on commercial & industrial (C&I) lending, CRE and Construction lending, operating deposits, and treasury management relationships. The ideal candidate enjoys working with closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, medical practices, professional service firms, manufacturers, distributors, and other middle-market companies.

Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial lending relationships throughout the Houston market.
• Originate commercial loans while growing operating deposit and treasury management relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience.
• Demonstrated success originating commercial loans, deposits, and treasury management relationships.
• Experience with C&I lending, owner-occupied commercial real estate, commercial real estate, and/or SBA lending.
• Strong business development skills with an emphasis on relationship banking.
• Existing Houston business relationships are preferred.
• Proven ability to independently source, structure, and close new commercial lending opportunities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build a growing community banking franchise.

Preferred Production Profile

• Annual commercial loan production of approximately $5MM–$10MM+.
• Strong emphasis on generating core operating deposits and treasury management relationships.
• Experience managing commercial relationships generally ranging from $250K–$4MM in credit exposure.
• SBA lending experience—or a desire to expand an SBA lending practice is highly desirable.
