Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a senior attorney to join its legal team in Beverly, MA. The role focuses on commercial contract drafting, negotiating alliances, and leading complex deals in a fast-paced energy services environment. MA bar admission is preferred, with flexible in-office requirements two days per week.

You will supervise attorneys and collaborate with executive leadership on strategy, RFP responses, and pilot programs in product development and energy optimization projects.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years as a practicing attorney.
• JD with membership in at least one U.S. state bar (MA preferred).
• Excellent commercial negotiation and contract drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage key commercial alliances and partnerships.
• Serve as thought partner to executive team on commercial strategy and product.
• Lead deal structuring to craft creative commercial solutions.
• Draft and negotiate transportation equipment services agreements and related forms.
• Oversee commercial contract offerings, including updates and versioning of forms.
• Support RFP responses for vehicle electrification-as-a-service and related requests.
• Draft and negotiate other sales contracts (LOIs, teaming agreements, license/lease).
• Provide guidance on contract issues with business-minded perspective.
• Assist with pilots in product development and R&D.
• Support energy optimization projects and related services.
• Supervise one or more attorneys or legal professionals.
