Pelican State Electric is seeking a Commercial Lead Electrician in Covington, LA. The role focuses on leading commercial electrical projects and supervising a crew, with occasional residential work as needed.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership in commercial electrical systems, strong blueprint-reading skills, and thorough knowledge of NEC and safety requirements. The position is full-time, in-person, and offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Competenze

• Verifiable experience as a commercial lead electrician or electrical foreman.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical plans.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and jobsite safety requirements.
• Willingness and ability to perform residential work when needed.

Mansioni

• Lead and supervise electricians and helpers.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications and schedules.
• Plan daily work and assign tasks to crew members.
• Coordinate manpower, materials and jobsite activities.
• Perform commercial electrical installations, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and according to applicable codes.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and project representatives.
• Track project progress and report jobsite needs.
• Perform residential electrical work when needed.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles.
