Job summary

Environment Control in Tucson is seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Lead to head maintenance crews across properties. You will drive efficiency, quality, and safety in outdoor work, guiding crew members in trimming, mowing, weeding, and general landscape care.

Lead by example, manage irrigation where possible, and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining a high standard of appearance in all sites. A valid AZ driver's license and background/drug checks are required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and strong communication to manage, motive, and guide your crew.
• One year of verifiable landscaping experience within the last five years.
• Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license held for the last five years to drive company vehicles.
• Reliable transportation to our main office daily.
• Background check and drug screen required; drug- and alcohol-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, directing and performing landscape duties with your crew (trimming, weeding, mowing, raking, debris removal).
• Apply pruning knowledge to keep properties healthy and sharp.
• Oversee irrigation systems and timers to maintain efficient, quality grounds.
• Maintain high quality at a fast, physically demanding outdoor pace.

At Environment Control, we are looking for a reliable, motivated Landscape Crew Lead to spearhead our maintenance properties in Tucson and the surrounding areas. If you know how to motivate a team and keep properties looking pristine, we want you at the front of the crew!

Competitive Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 an hour (based on experience and driving eligibility).

As the Crew Lead, you will be the driving force on the ground, ensuring efficiency and top-tier quality. You will:

• Lead by Example: Direct and work alongside your crew performing essential landscape duties (trimming, weeding, mowing, raking, and debris removal).
• Master the Greens: Utilize your proper pruning knowledge to keep properties healthy and sharp.
• Manage Irrigation (A Plus!): Experience with irrigation systems and timers gives you a huge advantage.
• Keep the Pace: Maintain high quality control while working at an efficient, energetic pace in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

What You Need to Qualify:

• Leadership & Communication: Strong skills to manage, motivate, and communicate effectively with your crew and management.
• Experience: At least 1 year of verifiable work experience within the last 5 years.
• Driver's License (REQUIRED): Must have a clean, valid Arizona (AZ) driver's license held for the last 5 years to drive company vehicles. Your record must be free of at-fault accidents, suspensions, or major moving violations.
• Commute: Must have your own reliable transportation to get to and from our main office daily.
