Job summary

Smart Care is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician to support restaurants and food service operations in the Boston area. This field-based role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot and repair hot-side kitchen equipment, read schematics, and maintain vehicle and tool inventory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills with the ability to read schematics.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial hot-side kitchen equipment.
• Service refrigeration, cooking, and ware-washing systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Install replacement parts and complete repairs efficiently.
• Document service work orders and manage inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and tools; follow safety standards.
