Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a field technician to inspect, test, and maintain kitchen hood fire suppression systems at ASA Chattanooga and surrounding sites. You will work independently and with a service team to support regulatory compliance and customer safety.

Responsibilities include installations, repairs, and upgrades; documenting services; coordinating with customers and fire marshals; and maintaining equipment and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2–5 years’ experience servicing kitchen hood suppression or related fire protection systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 17A and local codes preferred; manufacturer certifications (Ansul, Pyro-Chem, Kidde) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and maintain kitchen hood fire suppression systems per NFPA 17A and local codes.
• Perform system installations, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate corrective actions to customers and internal teams.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and deficiency notices accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with customers, fire marshals, and scheduling teams to ensure service delivery.

Education
