Job summary

Tech24 is seeking Hot & Cold Technicians to service commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment in Champaign, IL and surrounding areas. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair ovens, fryers, walk-ins, and more, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial foodservice and/or refrigeration repair experience.
• EPA Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and independent work ability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work indoors/outdoors.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines).
• Perform preventative maintenance for safe, efficient operation.
• Document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and interactions in the system.
• Communicate repair status and timelines clearly to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls timely and professionally.
• Represent Tech24 with professionalism and high-quality service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development.
