Position Summary

The Installer reports to the Operations Manager and is based in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time, in-office role involves delivering, assembling, and installing commercial kitchen equipment, including uncrating, peeling protective film, leveling, and securing equipment. Mechanical aptitude, construction skills, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities
Product Handling and Unloading
  • Unload trucks safely, minimizing damage, and move equipment to designated areas.
Equipment Assembly
  • Assemble and set up kitchen equipment per specifications.
  • Assist with construction tasks like erecting coolers/freezers and hanging hoods.
Tool Management
  • Manage tools, parts, and supplies; maintain and repair equipment.
Logistics and Maintenance
  • Load and secure tools/equipment for transport; conduct daily inspections and cleaning of trucks.
Construction Support

Follow blueprints and work orders for accurate installation.

Safety and Organization
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, maintain cleanliness, and pass D.O.T. medical exams.
Communication
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and track project expenses.
Quality Assurance
  • Inspect installations for quality and satisfaction; complete documentation via tablets.
Additional Duties
  • Perform related tasks and ensure timely documentation.
Competencies
  • Pass and maintain D.O.T. medical exam; understand safety standards.
  • Read blueprints and follow directions from project leaders.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organization, and motivation skills.
  • Willingness to travel, work weekends/overtime, and work independently.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 years in commercial construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of hand/power tools, basic codes, and mechanical equipment.
  • Computer skills; successful background check required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 50 pounds, stand long periods, and perform physical tasks like bending and crawling.
