Job summary

Bopat Electric Company is seeking experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians to join our Maryland construction team. You will read blueprints, lay out installations, install panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and power distribution for commercial projects, including new construction, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland journeyman or master electrician license or equivalent reciprocal license.
• 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
• Ability to read prints, perform layout, and complete commercial electrical installations.
• Experience with EMT and rigid conduit, feeders, panels, transformers, switchgear, and terminations.
• Experience with three-phase 120/208V and 277/480V systems.
• Knowledge of NEC and construction safety practices.
• Ability to mentor apprentices when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial electrical systems on new construction, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Read blueprints, interpret drawings, and lay out installations.
• Install and bend conduit, pull feeders and branch circuits, wiring and terminations.
• Install panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and power distribution.
• Plan daily work, identify material needs, and complete installations with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to keep projects moving.
• Mentor apprentices while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Follow NEC requirements and jobsite safety procedures.
