Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is hiring an Irrigation Technician to join our Gainesville Maintenance team. You will perform routine irrigation inspections, identify issues, and troubleshoot onsite to ensure efficient operation.

You will replace components, manage inventory, and provide upgrade recommendations while maintaining safety and professional standards on every job. This role requires driving to sites and reporting daily work metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience performing irrigation maintenance or installation in a commercial or residential environment, or similar experience in plumbing/HVAC/mechanical fields.
• Basic knowledge of construction plans and diagrams.
• Possess irrigation certification(s), preferred.
• Experience with servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting irrigation systems, preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, timers and sensors, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine irrigation inspections for designated properties.
• Identify and resolve issues with irrigation systems through troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• On-site problem solving during site visits through process of elimination.
• Replace or repair components such as pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, or timers.
• Provide recommendations for upgrades tailored to clients’ needs and objectives.
• Manage irrigation inventory to keep tools and materials stocked and organized.
• Promote and adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain company vehicles in a safe condition to reflect the company’s professional image.
• Accurately record daily work reports, estimates and timecards.
