Job summary

Teufel Landscape in Idaho is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to support large commercial landscape construction projects.

You will install new irrigation systems, lay out piping, valves, sprinkler heads, and control wiring, and you’ll read plans to coordinate with grading and planting crews. This role requires physical outdoor work, a valid driver’s license, and a focus on safety and quality. Pre-employment drug screen and fitness check are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of irrigation installation experience on commercial construction sites.

• Ability to read construction and irrigation plans.

Responsibilities

• Install new commercial irrigation systems from plans and specs.
• Lay out and install mainline and lateral piping (PVC/HDPE as specified).
• Install valves, boxes, rotors, and drip systems.
• Pull and terminate irrigation control wiring.
• Perform waterproof splices, labeling, and wire testing.
• Flush lines and pressure test systems; assist startup and inspections.
• Read irrigation plans and site layouts.
• Coordinate with grading, planting, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe jobsite.

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Irrigation Technician to support large commercial landscape construction projects. This position focuses on new irrigation system installation, including underground piping, sprinkler systems, valves, and irrigation control wiring.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install new commercial irrigation systems from plans and specifications


• Lay out and install mainline and lateral piping (PVC/HDPE as specified)


• Install valves, valve boxes, sleeves, sprinkler heads, rotors, and drip systems


• Pull, route, and terminate irrigation control wiring, including projects requiring two cables or two‑wire control systems


• Perform waterproof splices, labeling, and basic wire testing


• Flush lines, pressure test systems, and assist with startup and inspections


• Read and follow irrigation plans, details, and site layouts


• Coordinate work with grading, planting, and other construction trades


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of irrigation installation experience (commercial construction preferred)


• Experience installing underground irrigation piping and sprinkler systems


• Familiarity with irrigation wiring and control systems


• Ability to read construction and irrigation plans


• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical
