Job summary

National American Insurance Company (NAICO) in Oklahoma is seeking a Senior Property & Casualty Claims Adjuster. You will investigate coverage issues, evaluate liability, establish reserves, and negotiate settlements in line with state laws and company authority.

You will work closely with agents, insureds, and stakeholders, with potential involvement in training and supporting staff adjusters, including reviewing and supervising claims as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in claims adjusting.
• Experience handling auto liability and bodily injury claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain all investigative material to determine coverage, liability, or damage issues for each case.
• Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other interested parties.
• Obtain competitive estimates of losses prior to payment, and/or assign losses to independent vendors to arrive at agreed repair price.
• Assign and supervise independent adjusters to ensure prompt, professional and economical settlement.
• Prepare reports to files and management as required.
• Complete on-scene investigations as needed by management.
• Make prompt decisions based on investigative material to reach proper settlements within authority.
• Make settlement recommendations on claims exceeding settlement authority.

Role Description:

NAICO is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Property & Casualty Claims Adjuster to join our team. This role is responsible for investigating coverage issues, evaluating liability, establishing reserves, and negotiating and settling claims in accordance with applicable state laws and company authority levels. The Senior Claims Adjuster will work closely with agents, insureds, and other stakeholders to ensure claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally. This position may also assist with training and supporting staff adjusters, including reviewing, assigning, supervising, and resolving claims.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will:

• Obtain all investigative material necessary to determine coverage, liability, or damage issues for each case.
• Obtains statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other interested parties;
• Obtains competitive estimates of losses prior to payment, and/or assigns losses to appropriate independent vendor to arrive at agreed repair price;
• Assigns and supervises independent adjusters as required to insure a prompt, professional and economical claim settlement;
• Prepares appropriate reports to files and management, as required;
• Completes or assigns on-scene investigations as needed and requested by management;
• Makes prompt decisions based on investigative material to arrive at proper claim settlements within designated authority: and
• Makes settlement recommendations on claims in excess of settlement authority.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in claims adjusting is required. Experience handling auto liability and bodily injury claims preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Guidewire, CorVel, Verisk, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.
