The Commercial HVAC Install Technician is responsible for the installation, setup, and startup of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in new construction, retrofit, and renovation projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of commercial-grade equipment, adherence to safety and code standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and maintenance task in the most quality and efficient manner.
• Thoroughly complete, in a timely manner, all paper and electronic documentation required in a professional manner (work order notes, PM task, payroll time keeping, etc.)
• Maintain assigned company truck in a clean, orderly, and organized manner.
• Keeping up with all preventative maintenance requirements of assigned trucks, specifically oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, lights, windshield, and inspections.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of parts, materials, Freon, and tools.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to company policies and procedures, processes, Team member expectations, and quality and safety standards necessary to perform our work.
• Thoroughly complete, in a timely manner, all paper and electronic documentation required in a professional manner (work order notes, PM task, payroll time keeping, etc.)
• Be effective in communication with the clients, management, staff, supervisor, and other team members
• Have an understanding of HVAC systems and components; adaptable to computer and software applications
• Provide technical support and training to internal and external personnel
• Before leaving job, complete or pause work order on service software, order parts needed to complete job and receive next assignment from dispatcher.
• 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
