Job summary

Astar in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and support customers with top‑notch service. You will service RTUs, chillers, and related equipment, perform preventive maintenance, read electrical schematics, and document findings for customers and management.

A valid Texas driver’s license and EPA/TDLR credentials are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• EPA Certification required
• TDLR HVAC Registration or License required
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and air balancing principles
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean MVR
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
• Service split systems, package units, rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to prevent future breakdowns
• Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers and management
• Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and test & balance activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
