Job summary

JL Anderson Heating and Cooling in Lafayette, IN, is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician or HVAC Service Technician to support our growing commercial team. You will diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, troubleshoot controls, and perform startups and testing while maintaining clear records and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and controls.
• EPA Universal Certification required; NATE certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagnose complex issues.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems.
• Perform system startups, testing, and performance checks.
• Install commercial HVAC equipment and components as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers and teams.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards on every job.
