Job summary

Idaho Falls School District 91 maintains a wide range of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems across facilities. The Maintenance/Grounds position handles operation, troubleshooting, and repair of boilers, hydronic heating, air-handling equipment, rooftop units, heat pumps and related systems.

The role requires experience with building automation systems (BAS, DDC, pneumatic controls) and preventive maintenance, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of boilers, hydronic heating systems, air-handling equipment, rooftop units and heat pumps.
• Experience with BAS, DDC, pneumatic controls and other HVAC control systems.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to document inspections, maintenance, repairs, labor and materials.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and assists with installation of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Operates and maintains boilers and hydronic heating systems.
• Maintains cooling towers and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoots HVAC electrical and control components.
• Coordinates with staff and contractors for repairs and shutdowns.
• Completes work orders accurately and documents work performed.
