Position

Commercial HVAC Technician – Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, service requests, repairs, and equipment replacements
• Install and service HVAC systems and ice machines
• Conduct preventative maintenance and recommend repairs
• Troubleshoot and assess commercial HVAC systems
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls
• Provide facility condition assessments and recommend improvements
• Assist with facility‑related projects
• Collaborate with dispatchers, coordinators, supervisors, and technical teams
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Tools Provided

• Fully stocked service van
• Company‑issued iPad and iPhone
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications – Required

• 3–6 years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• EPA Certification
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training, meetings, or events
• Compliance with environmental, health, safety, and fire protection standards
• Flexibility for overtime and travel as needed
• Must pass enhanced security clearance, drug screening, background check, and driver’s license verification

Preferred Skills

• Experience with industry software (a plus)

Physical Requirements

• Climb and descend ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Maneuver in confined spaces (e.g., crawlspaces, attics)
• Wear required PPE

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $30–$42/hour ($62,400–$87,360 annually)
• On‑Call Pay: $150 per scheduled on‑call shift
• Paid Time Off: 48 hours at start, increasing to 168 hours with tenure
• Paid Holidays: 7 annually (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas)
• 401(k) Match: 5% employer contribution
