Job summary

Legacy Placement Partners is seeking HVAC Service Technicians I-IV for opportunities with a leading commercial mechanical contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment at customer facilities, working with customers and teammates to keep systems safe and efficient.

Technicians will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, service rooftops, split systems, air handlers, and heat pumps, and communicate repair

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC service, maintenance, installation, or a related mechanical trade.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and safe work practices.
• Ability to use hand tools, electrical meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• EPA Section 608 certification, as required for refrigerant work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation or work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using meters, gauges, and other diagnostic tools.
• Service equipment such as rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, heat pumps, and other commercial HVAC systems.
• Inspect and replace components, including motors, belts, filters, bearings, contactors, capacitors, and thermostats.
• Check refrigerant levels and identify leaks in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and service documentation.
