Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Chantilly, VA is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to maintain and repair medium to large HVAC systems in commercial settings. You will troubleshoot RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and controls, perform preventive maintenance, and document work using mobile tools.

Applicants should have EPA 608 certification, a valid driver's license, and 3+ years of HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• State Journeyman or Master License (Preferred).
• EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required).
• 3+ years of HVAC service experience.
• Familiarity with BOCA Code and OSHA regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Flexible to work variable shifts, including nights/weekends/overtime.
• Valid Driver's License & clean driving record. (Required)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and control systems
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections per service agreements
• Document work using mobile technologies and follow customer-specific protocols (e.g., IVR systems, work order logs)
• Maintain clean and professional appearance of self, tools, vehicle, and jobsite
• Communicate work status regularly with service coordinators
• Attend required meetings and training sessions
• Adhere to all safety and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
