Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Mid-Senior) to join our Winchester/Charlottesville-area service team. This role focuses on servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems with strong technical and hands-on expertise.

Candidates should hold EPA Universal Certification and HVAC Journeyman’s License, possess a clean driving record, and have roughly 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (trade school preferred).
• EPA Universal Certification (required).
• HVAC Journeyman’s License (required for higher levels).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including DX equipment, gas-fired and electric heating, air handlers and duct systems, and 24V/1-10V temperature control.
• Start up systems, monitor operation, read gauges, and make adjustments.
• Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Inspect and service piping and pumping systems.
• Report unusual conditions or system concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
