The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform advanced inspections, maintenance, and repairs on complex HVAC systems. The role requires 7–10 years of commercial HVAC experience and includes tasks like troubleshooting, installation, and preventive maintenance.

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician performs advanced inspection, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of complex commercial HVAC systems and related components. This senior level technician assists with planning and coordination of work, and supports system reliability across campus facilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with VRF systems service, replacement, installation, setup and commissioning for Mitsubishi, Carrier and LG VRF systems; experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or Energy Management Systems; HVAC/R Mechanic Certificate.
Full‑time position: 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., Monday through Friday, with an on‑call rotation that includes weekends. May require work on holidays, weekends, and/or evenings. Regular hours may vary due to organizational needs.

Standing and walking continuously throughout the shift. Lifting and moving objects up to 40pounds and occasionally heavier. Operating a company automobile or street‑legal golf cart. Using a computer or other work requiring repetitive wrist and hand movements. Wearing uniform, non‑slip shoes, and personal protective equipment.
