Job summary

Perfection Group is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing team south of Nashville, TN and into the Huntsville area. The role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, with travel across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and communicate repair needs clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftops, split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
• Understand commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Obtain parts, calibrate equipment per manufacturer specs, and communicate needs to customers.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Travel to customer sites in Nashville and the Middle Tennessee service area.
• Document service calls and resolutions using company software.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends.

Perfection Group is hiring a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing team and customers south of Nashville, TN and into the Huntsville area.

Paid drive time, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training are provided.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Identify necessary repairs, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
• Explain equipment conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions clearly to customers
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Travel to customer locations throughout Nashville and the Middle Tennessee service area
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate scheduling changes or delays promptly
• Document service calls and resolutions accurately using company software and applications
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, company vehicle, tools, and assigned equipment
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians

You May Be a Great Fit If You

• Have five to seven years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• Possess strong hands‑on knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
• Understand commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems
• Diagnose complex problems accurately and develop practical, effective solutions
• Work confidently and independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
• Build trust through technical expertise, sound judgment, and dependable follow‑through
• Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, vehicle, tools, and customer commitments
• Take pride in completing safe, accurate, high‑quality work
• Remain calm and dependable when responding to urgent customer needs
• Enjoy sharing your experience and helping other technicians grow
• Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
• Have completed an accredited HVAC technical or trade‑school program
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license
