Job summary

C&N Mechanical Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems at customer sites, delivering quality workmanship and clear communication with customers and office staff.

Requirements include 5 years of experience, strong knowledge of HVAC electrical controls, refrigeration, and mechanical components, and a valid Connecticut HVAC license (S2 or S1).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC electrical controls, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and identify repairs.
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred; required for work with regulated refrigerants.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Connecticut HVAC license (S2 or S1) required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, boilers, chillers, heat pumps, split systems, and other commercial mechanical equipment.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs and solutions.
• Complete service calls, maintenance tasks, and repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
• Maintain accurate service reports, equipment records, and job documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and management regarding equipment conditions and repair recommendations.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, mechanical codes, and company standards.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional overtime as required.

Hours: 7:30 - 4:00 pm, on-call 1 week of every 7 weeks.

Pay: $40 an hour, based on skills & experience

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials, climb ladders, and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other jobsite environments.
• Connecticut HVAC license (S2 or S1) required.
