R. Brooks Mechanical in Rising Sun, MD is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for commercial clients that depend on reliable service. You’ll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and work with DDC/BAS controls (Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell) to verify sequences and setpoints.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HVAC service experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues on commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, heat pumps).
• Perform routine maintenance: filters, coil cleaning, lubrication, belts, refrigerant checks.
• Work with DDC/BAS systems (Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell) to verify control sequences and setpoints.

The Opportunity

As an HVAC Service Technician at R. Brooks Mechanical, you’ll tackle diagnosing and repairing complex heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for clients who genuinely depend on you. Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues on commercial systems including RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, air handlers, and exhaust systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement, and refrigerant checks.
• Work with DDC and BAS systems (e.g., Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell) to adjust setpoints, troubleshoot alarms, and verify control sequences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HVAC service experience
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components
• Valid driver's license
