Job summary

RSC Mechanical is seeking Refrigeration Service Technicians to install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including walk-ins and ice machines.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with EPA regulations while delivering high-level customer service to a range of commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Experience and working knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform well in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order systems.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including walk-ins and ice machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems with confidence and precision.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Prioritize safety by securing work areas and identifying root causes of failures.
• Handle and manage refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Repair and replace compressors, motors, fans, and other components.
• Provide professional service during emergency calls.
• Log service reports using mobile and digital platforms.
• Communicate professionally with store managers and team members.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
