Job summary

MaintenX in Tampa, FL is hiring an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to install, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems in office buildings, restaurants, hotels, and retail centers. The role covers rooftop units, walk‑in coolers, chillers, EMS and building automation.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to emergency repairs while keeping safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HVAC & Refrigeration Technician in commercial settings.
• Valid HVAC technician license as required by local regulations.
• EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants; additional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in commercial buildings, including rooftop units and air distribution systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk‑in coolers and display cases.
• Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on HVAC and refrigeration equipment; provide timely repairs.
