Job summary

Americold is a nationwide company headquartered in Greenville, SC, providing maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment. We are seeking a Regular Full Time HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to travel to customer sites in the Washington, DC area to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.

The role requires independent work, strong technical skills, and excellent customer service. Prior HVAC/Refrigeration experience and EPA certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related HVAC/refrigeration experience.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel regionally and stay on-call as needed.
• Able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Mechanically inclined with desire to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects equipment and components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates status of repairs to customers and staff.
• Completes service tickets per procedures.
• Manages stock on the service vehicle.
• Maintains vehicle, tools, and uniform standards.
• Represents the company professionally and adheres to safety policies.
