Job summary

CoolSys in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced Service Technician to repair and overhaul commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment across various sites. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain systems, ensuring safety and timely completion while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires EPA certification, a high school diploma, and at least five years of field experience with commercial refrigeration; a valid driving record; on-call rotation; able to lift 60 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA refrigeration certification required.
• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems; display cases and walk-in boxes helpful.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs.
• Repair and servicing of equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components.
• Maintain legible records of work history and process job tickets.
• Support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases; assist with minor construction/remodeling and startups of new installations.
• Drive company vehicle safely and perform other duties as assigned.
