Job summary

RSC Mechanical in Oakland, CA is hiring for a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician. This full-time position offers hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $50.00 with benefits and opportunities for growth.

You’ll service and repair a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems and travel locally as needed. The role requires 2+ years of HVAC/R experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HVAC/R experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Own standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and self-contained refrigeration systems.
• Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, condensing units, and controls.
• Repair self-contained cases, coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
• Perform preventive and general maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Handle refrigerants safely per EPA regulations.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team.
• Complete digital work orders and documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation after training.
• Travel locally as needed.
