CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician in Florida to repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and ensure timely service for diverse clients in the HVAC and refrigeration sector.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires on-site work, physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EPA certification is required.
• Trade school HVAC/R certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiar with single and rack systems; experience with display cases and walk-in boxes is helpful.
• Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or sit for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to repair and overhaul equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
• Performs general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including display cases and walk-in boxes.
• Provides preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operational deficiencies.
• Tests malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills.
• Maintains legible corporate and personal work history records.
• Processes job tickets and work orders to the necessary departments promptly.
• Supports by picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
• Performs work on minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations.
• Drives the company vehicle in a safe manner.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
