Job summary
Dynamic Air Solutions is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial systems. You will service rooftops, chillers, boilers, BAS, and walkthrough coolers at customer sites, delivering reliable, energy-efficient performance.
Applicants should have 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience, EPA 608 certification, and a Journeyman/Master license where required. A valid license and ability to lift 75 lbs are essential.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (universal preferred).
- Journeyman or Master HVAC license (state/local).
- Experience with chillers, boilers, and BAS controls.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Service walk‑in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and refrigeration systems.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Document service tickets and reports accurately and timely.
- Maintain professional conduct on customer sites; follow safety protocols.

The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role supports mission‑critical equipment across customer sites and ensures system reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The technician works independently or as part of a service team and serves as a trusted technical representative of the company.
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems including rooftop units [RTUs], split systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Service walk‑in coolers/freezers, reach‑in units, ice machines, and commercial refrigeration systems
- Diagnose refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, control issues, and airflow problems
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
- Work with building automation systems [BAS], thermostats, sensors, and control panels
- Verify system performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools
- Identify efficiency opportunities and recommend system improvements
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations
- Complete service tickets, work orders, and inspection reports accurately and timely
- Maintain professional conduct on customer sites and represent the company positively
- Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety protocols at all times
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience
- EPA Section 608 Certification [universal preferred]
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
- Journeyman or Master HVAC license [state or local, where applicable]
- Experience with chillers, boilers, and/or BAS controls
- Electrical troubleshooting beyond basic component replacement
- Factory training or OEM certifications
- Experience with BuildOps, Housecall Pro, or Service Titan [a plus]
