Perfection Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration in Evansville, IN, is seeking a Commercial/Residential HVAC Service Technician. The role installs heating, cooling and refrigeration systems in homes and businesses, following manufacturer specs, codes, and company standards while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of HVAC installation experience, reads blueprints and schematics, and holds HVAC and EPA certifications.

Qualificações

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude is required.
• HVAC Certification or technical school certification preferred.
• EPA certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install HVAC equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, RTUs and mini-splits.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals to plan installations.
• Assemble, mount and secure HVAC components.
• Connect electrical wiring, piping, ducting, and refrigerant lines per specs and codes.
• Test systems for operation, efficiency and safety.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues and adjust as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas during and after installations.
• Explain system operation, maintenance and warranty information to customers.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers for timely completion.
• Follow OSHA, EPA and company safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order.

Overview

The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role ensures that HVAC systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company standards while delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, rooftop units (RTUs), and mini-splits
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and execute installations
• Assemble, mount, and secure HVAC components, ensuring proper alignment and operation
• Connect electrical wiring, piping, ducting, and refrigerant lines according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
• Test installed systems for proper operation, efficiency, and safety
• Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues, and adjust as needed
• Ensure all work areas are clean and safe during and after installations
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and warranty information
• Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion
• Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working order

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of HVAC installation experience [Residential and/or Commercial]
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• HVAC Certification [Technical school certification preferred]
• EPA Certification a plus
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to pass company’s MVR requirements
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and adhere to all safety guidelines
• Familiarity with building codes, HVAC equipment manufacturers, and industry standards
