Job summary

Helios HVACR Services is seeking an HVAC/R Service Manager to oversee daily operations in the Kansas City region. You will lead field supervisors and technicians, ensuring customer SLAs are met with the highest professionalism and integrity.

The role requires extensive HVAC experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Expect vehicle use, training oversight, and hands-on management across a dynamic service team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC field experience.
• Previous experience in service management roles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for iPad/cell phone communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and manage team communication, ensuring all parties are aware of needed information.
• Provide the highest level of professionalism, communication, and integrity to our customers.
• Manage Supervisors, Technicians and assess training needs by selecting training programs for team members.
• Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of field staff.
• Maintain stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

Job description

HVAC/R Service Managers will oversee daily area operations and manage technicians to ensure we meet our customers’ needs within their required SLAs. The Service Manager reports to the Regional Director of Operations and has Field Supervisors and Service Technicians as direct reports. The number of field staff will vary by state.

Helios determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,000 to $105,000 annually. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
