Job summary

Total Mechanical Service is seeking an HVAC, refrigeration and cooking equipment technician to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial kitchen systems at customer locations. The role includes PM inspections, emergency service responses, and maintaining equipment and paperwork.

You will service ovens, fryers, steamers, walk-ins, ice machines, and related equipment while coordinating with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales. Training and on-call rotation are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment (or related military) background.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
• Effective customer communication abilities.
• Demonstrated dedication to reliability, timeliness, and organization.
• Professional appearance and presentation.
• Background check and drug screen clearance.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Interact with customers in a respectful, professional manner.
• Complete service calls promptly and accurately.
• Communicate findings with customers, dispatchers, and sales teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
• Maintain the service vehicle and keep required paperwork up to date.
• Order parts and attend training sessions.
• Adhere to safety policies and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
