Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an Established Project Engineer to coordinate daily project activities, budgets, and staffing, including cost estimation and progress reporting for HVAC and controls projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with functional teams, reading project specs and drawings, preparing submittals, and supporting field engineers during commissioning and site work to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

About This Role

Established Project Engineer professional. Manages the daily coordination of projects including preparing and maintaining budgets and staffing requirements, and is responsible for estimating project costs, gathering and analyzing data, preparing progress reports, coordinating project tasks with various functional organizations, and identifying project problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus
• Requires an individual with an advanced skillset in BAS / controls programming
• Programming of controls systems and implementing developed Sequence of Operations
• Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines
• Partner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline
• Create submittals, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawings
• Document and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes in collaboration with our Project Manager
• Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.
• Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects
• Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standards
• Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts
• Conduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents
• Submit material orders for project- required materials to the purchasing group.
• Job requires some fieldwork with controllers and associated components alongside our Controls Field Engineers
• Assist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to commission the system or work with the Commissioning Agent

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in Project Engineering/Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers, setup procedures, and networking systems
• Previous experience in AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Working experience with Carrier i-Vu, Tridium or BACnet systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control
• Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
