Total Comfort Solutions in Charleston, SC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Install Technician with 3+ years of hands-on experience to install HVAC equipment and related systems in a timely, high‑quality manner. You will maintain professionalism and build strong client, coworker, and vendor relationships while delivering solutions.

This full‑time position offers a total compensation starting at $50K to $75K, with weekly pay and a benefits package including 401k, health, dental and vision insurance,

Qualifications

• HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of safe work habits.
• Will have available tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Senior Technician.
• Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to margins and standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism by arriving on time and keeping a neat appearance and work vehicle.
• Present a professional, positive attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Organize all work details and complete accurate work tickets for billing & payroll.
• Submit accurate Refrigerant Tracking Logs timely.
• Communicate effectively with customer and coworkers using the LINC model.
• Build rapport with clients, vendors, and outside contacts.
• Utilize technology to enhance performance (email, internet, BuildOps).
• Collaborate with other Technicians and mentor Apprentices as needed.
• Demonstrate Total Comfort Solutions values daily.

SUMMARY

If you are a Commercial HVAC Project Technician, with more than 3+ years’ experience, and are looking to join a great team that delivers exceptional customer service, then Total Comfort Solutions is the place for you! You will be tasked with installing HVAC and related equipment as assigned in a timely, high- quality manner. Conduct work with the highest level of professionalism, build client, coworker, and outside contact relationships, and offer solutions to TCS clients while living out our TCS Core Values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technician

• Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving at work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean working order.
• Present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude always when interacting with customers and co-workers.
• Organize all work details (work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for material purchased, etc.) and complete an accurate work ticket for billing & payroll purposes.
• Submit accurate and complete Refrigerant Tracking Logs in a timely manner.
• Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC Communication Model
• Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts.
• Fully utilize technology to enhance performance (email, internet usage, BuildOps)
• Work with other Technicians by sharing knowledge and experience. This could be of a technical nature or specific issues related to the facility.
• Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions values daily.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of safe work habits.
• Will have available tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Senior Technician.
• Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to the margins and standards at which they were sold.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to mentor an Apprentice to a Technician.
• Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field:

• Understanding airflow standards, measurements.
• Ability to make most standard ductwork, Straight duct, 90-degree and 45-degree elbows.
• Ability to use transitions, reducers, caps, pans, and ductulator.
• Some knowledge of air balance with a Balometer.
• Ability to install fire dampers and volume dampers.
