Job summary

Pilot Company in New Haven, IN is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to install, service, and repair HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing and electrical systems across multiple store locations. Youll be dispatched from home, work 45–50+ hours per week, and will be paid port to port.

You will maintain company equipment and vehicles, troubleshoot issues, stock parts, and ensure safety compliance. Valid EPA 608 certification and 3+ years in related fields are required.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state drivers license with clean driving record.
• EPA Universal 608 certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience.
• Minimum 3 years of repair experience for commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• OSHA guidelines knowledge (OSHA 10 training provided).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret site drawings.
• Travel requirements less than 10%.
• Work 45–50+ hours per week; no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment per warranty and industry standards.
• Communicate repair status with supervisor and store management.
• Complete same-day work order notes and submit to supervisor; ensure proper charge allocations.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to company standards.
• Diagnose and repair fuel dispensers and fuel security systems (training provided).
• Inspect facility interiors and exteriors for safety and maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rooftop HVAC units, split systems, ice machines, refrigeration, fryers and other food service equipment.
• Ensure all repairs comply with OSHA and Pilot Company regulations.
