Job summary

Carpenters Local 706 is seeking a full-time Commercial Flooring Installer to work on commercial construction projects across Saginaw County and surrounding areas. The role involves installing LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, carpet tile, and ceramic tile, with hands-on training available.

Applicants should be dependable, physically capable of lifting, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods, and able to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience installing commercial flooring is preferred, or willingness to learn on the job.
• Able to measure, prepare surfaces, apply adhesives, cut and fit flooring.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, and ability to perform physical labor (lifting, kneeling, bending, standing).

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of commercial flooring products including LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, carpet tile, and ceramic tile.
• Measure and prepare floor surfaces, handle materials, layout work, apply adhesives, and cut/f- fit flooring materials.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment on the job site.
