Job summary

AB Facility Services is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to maintain commercial flooring in a professional office environment. You will operate floor care equipment and perform restoration tasks to keep spaces safe and presentable.

The role requires hands-on experience with floor machines, attention to safety, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; evening schedule on Mon/Wed/Fri, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, in Norfolk, VA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial floor care experience
• Experience with floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing required
• Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, scrub, and maintain hard floor surfaces
• Sweep, mop, shampoo, and vacuum floors as needed
• Operate floor care equipment including auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, Kaivac systems, and other floor machines
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely according to manufacturer guidelines
• Transport equipment and supplies throughout the facility
• Monitor inventory and report supply needs
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
