Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Commercial Fleet Service Technician based in Seattle, WA to support our growing commercial EV fleet. You will own service lifecycle from assembly and maintenance to software updates, repairs, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on EV/bicycle maintenance, experience with CAN diagnostics, ECUs, and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting. This role requires in-person work five days a week with competitive hourly pay of $25-$30.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on bicycle/EV maintenance experience; CAN diagnostics a plus.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with ECUs, flashing procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Willingness to travel and perform physical shop tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, maintain, repair, and replace components on electric bicycle fleet.
• Oversee service facility inventory and organized workflow.
• Develop SOPs for fleet service and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at vehicle level.

ALSO is looking for a Commercial Fleet Service Technician to play a key role in supporting our commercial fleet. You'll own the full service lifecycle — from assembly and maintenance to troubleshooting, repairs, and software updates — while building the processes that scale with us as we grow. What You Will Do

• Perform assembly, maintenance, repair, tear-downs, and component replacements on electric bicycles to ensure commercial fleet readiness.

• Oversee fleet service facility, including inventory of service parts, maintaining cleanliness and organized system for service.

• Develop service and maintenance SOPs for commercial fleet.

• Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues at the vehicle and subsystem level, using judgment on when to elevate.

• Manage vehicle readiness for commercial activities, including mechanical setup, software updates, and ECU flashing using in-house tools.

• Pack and prepare vehicles and component parts for shipment, as well as receipt and assembly of vehicles from commercial teams.

• Serve as the technical point of contact for commercial field teams, resolving issues remotely and escalating when necessary.

• Document service, repair, and troubleshooting activities with clear notes and defect reporting.

• Operate vehicles during shakedown, functional checks, and validation rides to confirm readiness.

• Travel to provide technical support for commercial events and market fleets as needed.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in automotive, EV, or related fields preferred.

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in bicycle, e‑bike, or EV/automotive maintenance and service. Experience with CAN bus diagnostics and fault‑code troubleshooting is a strong plus.

• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Experienced with electronic control units (ECUs), flashing procedures, and diagnostic tools.

• Ability to support commercial teams by executing instructions accurately and providing clear feedback from troubleshooting.

• Comfortable working on prototype hardware/software in a fast‑paced test environment.

• Able to safely operate and ride the vehicles being serviced.

• Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

• Willingness to perform physical tasks, including lifting, repetitive work, and working in a shop environment.

• Ability to travel to support events in the field as needed.

This position is based in Seattle, Washington and requires in-person work at our facility five days per week. The salary for this position ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
