Job summary

Manatal in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Fire Sprinkler Estimator to build accurate estimates and proposals for commercial fire sprinkler systems. You will review plans, specs, site conditions, and codes to define scope, equipment, and layouts, and serve as a technical resource for Sales during the sales process.

You will analyze plans, prepare estimates, join site visits, produce system layouts, write technical docs, and coordinate with internal teams to meet bid requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in commercial fire sprinkler.
• Experience configuring sprinkler and suppression systems.
• Able to travel to job sites locally within Arizona.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods and costs.

Job description

The Fire Sprinkler Estimator builds accurate estimates and proposals for commercial fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems. In this role, you will review plans, specs, site conditions, and code requirements to define scope, equipment, and layouts. You will also serve as the technical resource for Sales Executives throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or extensive experience in the fire sprinkler industry
• 2+ years in commercial fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems
• Experience configuring sprinkler and suppression systems
• Installation and construction experience, with working knowledge of construction methods and costs
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to drive to job sites locally within Arizona

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial sprinkler and fire suppression installations
• Strong Bluebeam experience
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13 and applicable building codes
• Experience with sprinkler and suppression design software
• Knowledge of special hazard systems
• NICET certification or similar
• Established vendor and supplier relationships
• Experience leading cross-functional teams

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Work in office settings and on construction sites, from general offices to new construction
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work at heights over 6 feet
• Communicate clearly in English, in person and in writing

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on certifications and a successful interview
