Job summary

Midwest Protection Services (MPS) in Omaha, NE, seeks a Commercial Fire & Life Safety Technician (Low Voltage) to install and service fire alarm systems, manage small projects, and coordinate with site teams.

You will troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain inventory. We value safety, teamwork, and reliable communication; Nebraska licenses and prior low-voltage experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial fire alarm installation/maintenance.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to handle a physical workload on construction sites.
• Commercial construction experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service new and existing commercial fire alarm systems.
• Manage small projects: plan tasks, align labor, and coordinate with site teams and vendors.
• Troubleshoot system faults, device failures, and wiring problems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a well-organized inventory of service parts.
