Job summary

Meisner Electric, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL, seeks a skilled installer to install, service, and program fire alarm and other low-voltage systems. The role supports project foremen and requires reading blueprints, testing circuits with meters, and ensuring NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire safety codes and NEC/local codes.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and program fire alarm systems and other low-voltage systems.
• Perform tests and inspections of fire alarm systems, and test single smoke detectors.
• Troubleshooting systems and making connections.
• Panel programming and running wires.
• Bend pipe, and prepare service reports and job status updates.
• Comply with OSHA safety standards and other duties as assigned.

Summary/ObjectiveInstall and service fire alarm systems, network data cabling, engineered life safety systems, and other low voltage systems including, nurse security, nurse call, access control, and CCTV. Assist project Foreman with electrical projects as needed.QualificationsA High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Minimum 1-3 years experience installing and troubleshooting commercial and industrial fire alarm systems. Knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations. 1 -3 years of field experience in commercial electrical industry. Ability to use testing equipment (multimeters, etc) to troubleshoot problems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of NEC and local codes. Possess a valid driver’s license.
