Job Description:

As a Commercial Fire Alarm Technician at Gibson Electrical LLC, you will play a vital role in the installation and servicing of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial buildings.

You will work with cutting-edge technology and ensure that our clients' systems meet local codes and safety regulations, helping them protect their people and property.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems in primarily commercial and industrial properties.
  • Conduct testing, and system evaluations to ensure functionality and compliance with fire safety codes.
  • Program and configure fire alarm control panels and devices.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and respond to service calls as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and system specifications.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including job reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with fire alarm codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Additional certifications are a plus.
  • Hold a current State of Ohio Fire Protection License (submit with application)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with fire alarm systems, preferably in commercial settings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and components.
  • Experience with fire alarm control panels, sensors, detectors, and related devices.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national fire alarm codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious, and customer-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required.
