Job summary

TES Staffing is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of commercial properties in the Brighton and Pittsford areas. The role involves hands-on maintenance, addressing tenant requests, and coordinating with outside vendors to keep buildings safe, clean, and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, prioritize tasks, and work independently or with the facilities and property management teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in commercial property maintenance or building operations preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate basic hand/power tools.
• Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and address HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance issues.
• Respond to tenant maintenance requests promptly and communicate updates.
• Conduct routine property inspections and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Assist with vendor/contractor coordination and ensure work meets standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of entrances, lobbies, restrooms, sidewalks, and parking areas.
• Inspect and maintain emergency lighting and participate in scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Assist with special projects, tenant buildouts, and punch lists.
• Maintain accurate records of keys, equipment, and maintenance activities.
• Obtain estimates for repair work and materials as needed.
• Support groundskeeping and snow/ice removal as required.
