  • Cost Estimates and Repairs: Obtain estimates for repair work, replacement materials, and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Groundskeeping and Seasonal Maintenance: Assist with landscaping, seasonal plantings, weeding, raking, and snow and ice removal, including shoveling and salting walkways when necessary.
  • Facility Organization: Keep maintenance storage areas, mechanical rooms, supply closets, and warehouse spaces clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate service updates and building needs to the property management team, participate in regular team meetings, and provide backup coverage for other maintenance staff.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the overall operation and upkeep of the properties.
Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance techniques.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs.
  • Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • Self‑motivated, dependable, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain a high standard of work.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation or emergency response coverage , as required.
