Job summary

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC seeks a Facilities Engineer to support daily operations across a portfolio of Class A office and light industrial assets. Under the supervision of the Facilities Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer, you will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and tenant work orders to ensure top-tier service for tenants and stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years of facilities experience, proficiency with MEP systems, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

5+ years of general commercial facilities and maintenance experience, working with critical mechanical equipment.
Mechanical proficiency on general building equipment.
Knowledge of Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Life Safety Systems.
Diagnostic troubleshooting on MEP equipment.
Basic carpentry and plumbing.
OSHA training is helpful but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use power tools.
Proven ability to work from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
MS Office and Outlook proficiency.
Willingness to pursue state licensure for electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing.
Solid interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience utilizing Building Management systems (ALC, Delta, PRISM).
Ability to address emergency issues promptly and coordinate swift responses.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex maintenance issues.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Supports the facilities team in daily operations for Class A assets, providing high-level service to tenants and stakeholders.
Assist with general maintenance and preventative maintenance, tenant work orders, vendor escort in base building and tenant space.
Assist Lead engineers with hands-on repair and maintenance.
Maintain workshop organization, tools, and equipment inventory.
Respond to emergencies after hours; participate in an on-call rotation.
